Besides from the component business ARGES also offers services in application and process development, job-shop, consulting, custom design and training for ARGES products.
In constantly changing markets it is our main goal to achieve consistently competitive products and solutions, utilizing the highest level of technology, innovation and design. We co-operate with our partners and customers in supporting them during their integration and development and offer also after sales services.

Which are the main target groups for your trade-fair presentation:

industrial system manufacturers and integrators, manufacturer of ophthalmogical systems, universities and research institutes, end-user with own special equipment construction, semiconductor industry

Your product description:

The ARGES scan head products are available with apertures of 6 mm to 50 mm, mirror coatings and f-theta lenses as a complete scan solution, but also as f-theta-free configurations for industrial system manufacturers and integrators. The electronic design offers state-of-the-art surface mount technology in robust housings, optimising thermal and noise stability, and static and dynamic optical performance. The compact scan head series can be purchased with various interfaces: standard analogue inputs, standard XY2-100 protocol with up to 4 axes simultaneously or the ARGES proprietary interface implementing new features and Plug & Play operation. The ARGES scan heads are incorporating state-of每the-art technologies with superior performance evolving into a series of functionally designed and ultra compact housings.
ARGES also offers customised, elegant OEM solutions with its own laser application software InScript® and control electronics packages for all laser types. The NCC 1704A Multiprocessor Controller Card combined with the SC Scan Controller series provides a powerful processing platform. Offering a range of standard functions for laser applications, InScript® provides an integrated solution for image processing, beam diagnostics and vision applications. The new ARGES ScanController (ASC) also provides a highly integrated control system for laser machines, enabling real time control of beam deflection systems and lasers, and linking the entire periphery from position encoder on the one hand to power measuring device on the other. A SPC 每 system, perhaps additionally employed in various applications, may also be replaced by means of extension modules. Coordinate tables or shutters from the included InScript® software package can, for example, be easily operated with the stepper motor and actuator driver. The programming of various partial systems on one instance offers the advantage that the temporal sequence of the positioning and switching processes is ensured, without requiring any additional synchronization efforts.

Versatile Controller Architecture for Laser Machinery

Since its founding in 1993 under the management of Mr. M. Guggenmos, ARGES Industrieplanung und Lasertechnik GmbH has developed into a leading global player in the fields of beam deflection systems and control systems for OEM laser equipment. Aside of numerous research facilities, predominantly manufacturers of all-in-one plant-solutions for the semiconductor- and electronics industries may be found among its customers, but also for applications in medical technology, such as ophthalmological systems. Within the last few years, ARGES GmbH has expanded its operative business to also include the field of consulting and design for special - equipment engineering in laser technology, where it assists and supports its customers as a supplier of more highly integrated system components, aside of simultaneously functioning as a project partner. Within the scope of these activities, the company has become known to its customers as a reliable partner, particularly for the development of control software, of customer-specific hardware customizations, and of special solutions in the field of automation.
After several years of development work, ARGES is now introducing a new, highly integrated controller for laser machinery, which controls beam deflection systems and lasers in real - time, and integrates the complete external periphery, from position encoders up to power meters. A SPC 每 system, perhaps additionally employed in various applications, may also be replaced by means of extension modules. Coordinate tables or shutters from the included InScript software package can, for example, be easily operated with the stepper motor and actuator driver. The programming of various partial systems on one instance offers the advantage that the temporal sequence of the positioning- and switching processes is ensured, without requiring any additional synchronization efforts.
The user can simply integrate the system into existing system concepts by means of standardized interfaces, such as RS232, RS485, Ethernet, USB and CAN bus. A special advantage is the realization of the central controller core on an embedded Linux platform. Open protocols permit the user to develop his own applications on this hardware. The modular structure permits the preferred level of integration depth to be defined individually.
The controller is respectively available with different functional performance ranges in housings with 1 to 3 height units, optionally for 19 " rack mount, or for desktop. Depending on the model type, an integrated power supply will provide both, the controller and also 1 to 2 beam deflection systems with power. With additional displays and control elements, the devices can also be used as stand-alone units for the display of operational states or modes and for the selection of various application programs, without permanent host linkage. In the highest configuration level, the system even contains an integrated fiber laser for marking applications, such as the marking of IC - housings.

REMOTE WELDING ELEPHANT

In summer 2007 ARGES presented the already 2nd generation of remote welding scan heads. The REMOTE WELDING ELEPHANT is a scan head using post objective scanning. The objective 每a fast, precise and tilt-free galvanometer controlled beam expander with diffraction limited design每 is capable of adjusting the laser spot size on the target and lancing new emerging 3D applications.
The scan head*s 50 mm aperture dedicates it for high power fiber or fiber coupled lasers. The standard QBH fiber coupling module can on request be easily replaced by a type D-plug or a customer specific adapter.
A new feature for heavy duty use is the cross jet nozzle. It significantly reduces contamination and debris on the protection window prolonging the service interval, thus reducing running cost. Auxiliary nozzles help to remove fume from the working area. Additionally the protection window is now mounted in a removable drawer for fast replacement.
To improve the teach-in procedures the scan head can be equipped with up to 3 camera devices. 2 cameras provide an overall view of the scan field, the 3rd one delivers a magnified picture of the processing area and can be used for precise aligning and the automatic alignment of the real process line on the workpiece. An additional aiming cross laser assists in targeting the focal plane. The easily attachable robot flange is available for robots of all major manufacturers.
