Germany holds the leading position in the field of optical technologies.
Every fourth laser system for the material processing is "made in Germany" and as to medical technologies Germany is the second largest exporter worldwide. At the "German World of Laser & Photonics", which will take place within the fair LASER. World of Photonics China from the 18.-20. March 2008 in Shanghai, German companies present themselves to move on the Chinese market and to establish a cooperation with Chinese companies. |
Germany will present its competence and innovations in the field of optical technologies with a multi-sided appearance from the 18.-20. March 2008 in Shanghai. The participating companies will present themselves on the fair and the Universities and Institutes will show up in a information centre. Special events focusing on key application technologies as for example the information- and communication technology or the manufacturing industry show lasers at work. |
The "German World of Lasers & Photonics" focuses on special interested visitors of the fair. To promote the scientific exchange, it as well addresses to representatives of Universities and students of optical technologies. |
This is also the intention of the reception which will be organised by the German Consul General, Dr. Albrecht von der Heyden in Shanghai, for German and Chinese companies and for photonic experts. |
The German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) in cooperation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA), sponsors the "German World of Laser & Photonics". They are supported by the association Spectaris. The International Exhibition and Fair Service Ltd. (IMAG), a wholly owned subsidiary of Messe M¨¹nchen International is in charge of the implementation.
